If you get out of the VDNKh metro station and go left along Mira Avenue, exactly 970 meters later you will come to the legendary monument "Worker and Collective Farmer", which is familiar to everyone and which needs no introduction. It is not for nothing that it is called a monument of monumental art, "the ideal and symbol of the Soviet era", "the standard of socialist realism"…
And if you do not go to the left from the metro, but perpendicular to Mira Avenue, towards Tikhvin Church and Rocket Boulevard, after about the same distance you will come to the "Tsar-Mock-Up" museum, which someday will also become a legendary and iconic place of the capital, because all the main sights and recognizable places of our vast country are represented on it on a scale of 1:87. By the way, did you know that Vera Mukhina, who created the famous sculpture, is not the author of her idea? The compositional idea of the sculptural group of two figures, male and female, who are looking forward and raising a hammer and sickle over their heads, belonged to the architect Boris Iofan, and Vera Mukhina became the author of the plastic embodiment.
